I haven't enjoyed the last several books nearly as much as the first ones, but I buy and read them because I do like "catching up" with the storylines from previous books. This one was so boring and beat the horse to death over and over. Gigi is scared to commit Got it. Got it. Got it. Yes, she can take care of herself; she says so about 10x in this story. And, yes, Mason is tall; you've told us many times (half a dozen in this book alone). Jordan deserves happiness after her awful first marriage; yes, you've said so. Maddie insists Mac get the snip; she said it in the last book and in this one more than once. Frankly, I was bored in this story. I have re-read several of the earlier books but don't care about the last ones enough to do so and this one is very much my least favorite. ( Reviewed in the United States on October 16, 2021 )

Jared and Lizzie have rented out their garage apartment to GiGi and now that Cooper is in town the two have met. To say it was fireworks would be an understatement. These two are fun together and well when a selfie goes wrong it's all uphill from there. Gigi hasn't had an easy life, she is fiercely independent and doesn't need someone to love or to love her. Or so she thinks, enter one Cooper James who is a few years younger than she is. He is a ladies' man, a serial dater if you will but when he meets Gigi, all bets are off. Cooper will not have an easy time of it as he tries to break through Gigi's walls. He is just the man for the challenge though as even her best friends Nikki and Jordan are on Team Cooper's side. - 5.0 out of 5 stars from Marcy Meyer -- I loved this story and getting more from my favorite characters! : As always, I loved another amazing story from Gansett Island. Cooper and Gigi were entertaining and fun characters. I liked that he was a little younger than her, and that he was a fan of her show. He came across as a fun loving, party guy, but he was a very intuitive and caring guy as well. Gigi was very similar to him. Her role on the show was the comedic sidekick, but she was a lawyer and very guarded in her personal life. I enjoyed how these two had sparks from the start and a strong connection, that they built into something with amazing potential. She was very resistant to anything serious, but he kept fighting his way into her heart. I really loved their story. I know some readers may not like the jumping around to different characters throughout the books, but it is my favorite part. I love getting back into each one their heads and finding out what is happening in their lives. It is so much better than just a cursory view. There are so many wonderful story lines happening all the time, and I am thankful for the way Marie writes this series. I love it!! ( Reviewed in the United States on October 18, 2021 )

As Coop and Gigi were a lovely couple, and their romance certainly charmed me, although not my favourite of the 24. But then there have been some stand out ones that will always be hard to beat. Normally it’s the man with fear of commitment, but it was Gigi and that was understandable considering what she went through.
